Days 10, 12 and 15: Seven Canyons

We've officially found our favorite thing to do in the summer in SLC - the Seven Canyons water feature in Liberty Park! A new friend that we met at another park invited us to come here, and I'm so glad we did. It's nestled in the middle of the huge 80 acre park, so I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise!

So there are seven main canyons around Salt Lake City, and this neat area has almost geographically correct representations of each of the canyons - complete with little fountains at the top of each one and streams that run down and then gather into a baby pool at the very bottom. Some canyons have waterfalls, and there are little bridges over a lot of them so kids have a great time putting something like a ball at the top and chasing it all the way down to the baby pool at the bottom.

Parley's Canyon - check out Rivers playing in the little river :)
Rivers and his new friend Samara playing in a little pool (notice the Lightning McQueen sticker stuck to my lens in the bottom left corner - ha!)

This is at the top of one of the canyons. See the little fountain in the background? Rivers liked putting leaves in the upper pool and watching them come out the little water hole he's sitting by.
